Tomato, “Coeur de Boeuf” from France

Discover the Cœur de Boeuf tomato, a French heirloom variety named for its distinctive heart-like shape. Large, deeply ribbed, and beautifully rustic, it offers thick, meaty flesh with very few seeds and a rich, sweet tomato flavour balanced by gentle acidity.

Unlike ordinary round tomatoes, the Cœur de Boeuf is dense and fleshy rather than watery, making every slice generous and satisfying. Its flavour is mild, aromatic, and subtly sweet, with the authentic depth of a traditional summer tomato.

Keep the tomatoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and do not wash until ready to eat. Refrigeration can dull their aroma and texture, so only refrigerate fully ripe tomatoes.
